Autonomous AI System Development Course

A 10-day intensive program in edge AI, robotics, and intelligent autonomy

Develop expertise in autonomous robotics by combining edge AI, sensor fusion, 3D spatial mapping, autonomous navigation, computer vision, and natural language interaction. Through hands-on projects on a production-grade edge platform, participants build a complete autonomous agent capable of perceiving, navigating, reasoning, and interacting with its environment.

Mobile robot platform with an NVIDIA Jetson edge computer, depth camera, and LiDAR sensor (specific models and sensor brands selectable to fit the deployment context)

Agenda
Days 1–3: Foundation — Hardware, Control & Peripherals

Mount and provision the Jetson edge computer, bring the robot's control layer online via its API and communication bridge, and integrate the depth camera and LiDAR with ROS 2 drivers. Includes environment validation, GitHub setup, configuration practice, and a real-world troubleshooting workshop.

Days 4–5: Mapping & Autonomous Navigation

Build accurate 3D maps using tightly-fused LiDAR-inertial SLAM, then convert them into navigation-ready occupancy grids. Tune the navigation stack and watch the robot plan and execute paths autonomously through the mapped environment.

Days 6–7: Computer Vision — Recognition & Detection

Deploy accelerated vision pipelines on the edge: facial recognition with identity enrollment and allow/deny lists, and real-time object detection and tracking (YOLO family). Link both to robot behavior through the unified API.

Days 8–9: Voice Interaction — Reflex & Cognitive Pipelines

Assemble the full microphone-to-action audio chain — wake-word detection, speech-to-text, and synthesis — then layer on an edge-deployed LLM that turns free-form language into multi-step robot commands.

Day 10: Full System Unification & Showcase

Combine vision, voice, navigation, and control on a single edge computer, run an end-to-end demonstration scenario, and present a working system with a documented GitHub portfolio.
